DN Solutions Celebrates Grand Opening of Chicago Technical Center

2025.05.22
From April 29 - May 1, 2025, DN Solutions celebrated the grand opening of their new Chicago Technical Center (CTC) in Schaumburg, Illinois. Over 1,000 attendees travelled to the new 363,000-square-foot facility to view machine demonstrations, new technology introductions, technical seminars, and more.

In the CTC’s 24,000-square-foot showroom, 16 of DN Solutions’ most popular machines were on display, offering a unique hands-on experience for visitors. Highlights include the recently introduced DNX 2100S compact multi-tasking machine, DVF Series of 5-axis machining centers, a range of automation solutions, and several of DN Solutions’ large format machine tools.

At the event, DN introduced the North American market to the DLX Series of 3D metal printing machines. Capable of producing complex components in a variety of metals including aluminum alloys, Inconel, and titanium, the DLX Series is the company’s first industrial-grade Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) system. The CTC will become one of the company’s global Additive Manufacturing Solution Centers, serving as a hub for AM part design, process optimization, prototyping, and production.

The CTC Grand Opening featured a ribbon cutting ceremony with Global CEO Wonjong (WJ) Kim, DN Solutions North America CEO Daniel Medrea, and other honored guests. Industry seminars were given by Kevin Bowers of AMT, David Doyle of HEIDENHAIN, and Chad Sizemore of FANUC.

“The Chicago Technical Center is more than just a machine showroom,” stated Medrea. “It’s a
technological hub for advanced machining applications and an important resource for the support of all North American manufacturers. The CTC showcases our long-term commitment to the market and to helping our customers be more competitive both locally and globally, and we were thrilled to have so many interested attendees at our grand opening this spring."
