DN Solutions receives ISO certification for energy management
DN Solutions, a leading supplier of CNC machine tools and integrated intelligent manufacturing solutions, is setting another milestone in terms of energy efficiency. The Korean company has received ISO 50001 certification for its energy management system. DN Solutions is thus continuing its global climate commitment. This is also part of its own "Net Zero" plan to reduce its own carbon dioxide emissions.
With the 50001 standard, the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) aims to support companies in improving their energy efficiency by setting up appropriate systems and processes. DN Solutions' energy management system fulfils the applicable requirements and has now been certified. The expert in CNC machine tools and integrated intelligent manufacturing solutions has already been awarded ISO certifications in the past. These include ISO 9001 for quality management, ISO 14001 for environmental management and ISO 45001 for health and safety management.
During the certification process, the diverse energy sources used by the company, such as LNG, electricity, petrol and diesel, stood out in particular. The efforts to set and achieve energy reduction targets, the effective management of energy savings and the investments in measures to increase energy efficiency were also emphasised. "Achieving ISO 50001 certification demonstrates DN Solutions' commitment to actively participating in global climate initiatives and responding to the climate crisis," emphasised a DN Solutions executive following the successful audit by ISO. "We are proud to receive this certification, which emphasises our commitment to outstanding environmental sustainability."
"Net Zero": DN Solutions pursues environmentally friendly management
In future, DN Solutions intends to further strengthen its commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles. The establishment of an ESG Task Force (TFT) will drive forward initiatives for sustainable management. These include the implementation of the "Net Zero" plan announced at EMO 2023 to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. According to this plan, carbon dioxide emissions are to be reduced by 40% by 2030 - the company aims to be carbon neutral by 2050. DN Solutions is also committed to transparency and discloses its carbon emissions to verify its corporate carbon footprint (CCF).
